In an effort to shave minutes off my marathon time, I decided weight loss had to occur...realistic weight loss, though. I set a goal to lose 15 pounds by Grandma's Marathon. Today, I reached the 13 pound mark and dropped one big bar!!! That's right, I now get to use the 100 pound weight bar instead of the 150. Of course, the top "little bar" is all the way to the right, but I'm making progress and I'm darn close to that weight loss goal!
you go girl!
ReplyDeleteI, too, have decided that if a half ironman is happening with healthy knees, I need to drop 10-15 pounds pronto...if you have any secrets, do share! egg whites are my new fave food! (note the wt loss range - it is really a range for all my carb-infused excuses!!)
Congrats on all you have accomplished in the last year - I can't wait to hear about your fabulous and fast MN marathon!!!
Karen, I have no secrets. It was awful some days because I would have to do table "pushaways" and immediately walk into the kitchen and wash dishes! I think what helped me is that I started swimming 2-3 days each week and drinking green tea. And it doesn't come off easy after hmmm 40 lol! Good luck and I'm excited that you're talking such a great endurance event!
ReplyDeleteThat's great Robin! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Keep up the loss so I have some major motivation in 5 1/2 months :)
