Easter Egg Hunts and Easter Tradition

Easter is one of the most underrated holidays.  I love seeing the girls wake up and find their Easter baskets at the table and see their excitement.  For little kids, Easter Egg Hunts are simply wonderful throw-backs to a simpler, fun activity.  We are lucky that we live in a community that still puts on egg hunts, encouraging the kids to bring their baskets.  And Meg, she's still using the same basket with the same grass in it (although the grass is dwindling in size over all these years!). Now that Meg is in college, she still won't miss an Easter weekend.

Easter Egg Hunt

Having a small one in the house means ALL the holidays are exciting. Thanks to the wonderful town that we lived in, they sponsored a commmunity Easter Egg Hunt. And I couldn't believe just how "charged" she was to scoop up as much candy and eggs as possible. Best of all, she ran into one of her friends, making this hunt that much more exciting for Bridget.

Hip Hop a Hippity Hop Easter

No Sugar Hill Gang, but just as fun as 70s rap. We "easter'd" in Arizona this year and the Easter Bunny had to contend with sunny, 90 degree temps versus cold, wet and rainy Cleveland. It was a win-win for all of us. As a family, we saw Rio on Saturday, played in the pool a couple of days, grilled out, enjoyed some wonderful little restaurants with great flair and filled up on gelato. I even managed to sneak in two runs and a little stop at Lucy for some yoga wear before heading home.

Awkward family photo - is it no wonder Meg didn't want to jump into this one?!
