The Dreadmill

The only thing worse than running on a treadmill is actually WALKING on the treadmill. I am cleared to bike and swim, but not running. If all goes well next week, I can return to a very satisfying 3-miler. I never thought I'd say this, but I can't wait to knock out a 3-miler! I'm bordering on bitchy and need a quick running fix. On the plus side, I can bike for an hour with no pain other than the boredom of going nowhere on rollers. At this rate, I'll be able to do Fatty's 100 Miles to Nowhere in May. You in, Karen?!

    Oh dear about your knee - ask them about the trail run next week - the mom/coach in me is feeling very hesitant about you being out there after reading this as it is hilly ... need to get you all healthy again ....

  2. I'm actually doing well - grumpy, but the knee is mending quite nicely. I walked on the treadmill today at a 5.0 incline and got a nice sweat, but I really missing all the jarring! Silly, I know!

  3. I have never been a good walker although I know it is a great fitness activity so it makes me grumpy too.

    Kudos to you for keeping active even when you have to use the dreadmill!
